EYEBROW PTOSIS OR DROPPING
EXAMPLE

WHAT IS IT:

Hooded eyes, no eyelid or tired looking eyes.

Changes in the skull bone, muscle, fat and skin can result in the eyebrow changing position and the skin around the eye losing its elasticity and drooping.

Blepharoplasty cosmetic surgery may be a solution for those who are open to this option and who have had suitable changes occur. This is especially advisable if eye sight is being affected. If surgery is not an option, not necessary or not desired then skin or muscle tightening treatments such as HIFU and radio frequency are possible choices. Sublative Plasma resurfacing treatments or Botox® may also be of help. The most appropriate treatment is best decided by assessment of the cause, consideration of risk factors and the persons personal preferences.

Cosmetic surgery on the eye area should only be done by a registered Plastic or Oculoplastic surgeon. Relevant professional organisations include the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
